Hi, Daniel:
A few hours ago on Twitter, you wrote this:
In the early days of the Chan tradition there weren’t Chan Temples and there wasn’t really a Chan School. There were just some dedicated people traveling around teaching meditation, talking about Buddha Nature, and giving Bodhisattva Precepts.
Bravo!
I really mean it. You and I are fellow 5 Mountain drop outs, and we have studied Tibetan Buddhism and, of course, Chan. I was so missing the 3rd jewel as an ordained Chan priest and in time, I f e l l into a Vajrayana practice with a controversial group that welcomed me with open arms. I think it's called, love bombing. Since then, as in recently, I've taken steps back to become (ever) reacquainted with Chan. As such, you comment jumped out and bit me.
So, thanks.
